Carved into the rugged south-west savannah land coast of Mauritius, between mountain and sea, you will find the Tamarina Estate. Overlooking the crisp blue waters of Tamarin Bay, crossed by the beautiful Black River gorges and Rempart River, the estate stretches over 206 hectares at the foot of towering Rempart Mountain.   

 

In December 2010, the estate will be welcoming Tamarina Hotel, Beach, Golf & Spa, an exciting fifty room 4 star plus boutique hotel incorporating the existing facilities of Les Villas Hotel de Tamarina. An all inclusive hotel surrounded by nature in an ideally shaded corner of the bay, the hotel will offer guests peace and tranquilly in an adult setting. Golfers will delight in the golf inclusive package whilst those choosing to relax will benefit from the inclusive spa package (see facilities for more information).

Dining Options

La Madrague 

 Overlooking Tamarin Bay and around an infinity pool, the perfect mix between contemporary style and natural material. From sunrise to sunset, La Madrague catches the light in a very special atmosphere of wellbeing. The restaurant proposes an international cuisine with a “Creole Accent” and can accommodate up to 140 persons (100 covered). “La Madrague” is open everyday.

 - Buffet breakfast from 07.00am to 10.30am

- Snack / Lunch from 11.00am to 17.00pm

- Theme buffet or a la carte from 19.30pm to 22.00pm

 

Le Bar

 In the shade of an old Badamier tree on a deck overlooking the bay, Le Bar is open as from 06.00am for departures dolphin watching excursions until late at night following dinner. When the sun goes down, Le Bar extends onto the sand deck, where you can enjoy various cocktails and beverages, lying on long chairs or comfortably seated in armchairs, facing the sea. An extremely romantic place. 

La Plage

 Located around the beach pool, near the lime kiln and by the sea, the restaurant is open for light breakfast and all day light meals. As the sun sets, La Plage turns into an exclusive, casual, simple and elegant place, where you can savor grilled lobster, fish or king prawns under the stars, listening to the waves lap against the shore and facing the lights of Tamarin bay.

Le Dix-Neuf - Tamarina Golf Clubhouse

 Light meals and snacks, overlooking the 18th hole, the river and Tamarin Bay.

 The bar is open from 7.00am to 7.00pm and the restaurant from 11.00am to 4.00 pm.

 

Le Mirador Restaurant and Bar

With exceptional views of Tamarin Mountain and the sugarcane fields stretching out to the sea, the restaurant serves typical Mauritian dishes and Snacks.

 The bar is open from 9.00am to 17.00pm and the restaurant from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

18 Hole Championship Golf Course

 Tee off: 07.00am to 14.30pm / 15.00pm, depending upon the season

 Designed by Rodney Wright, Tamarina 18-hole Championship Golf Course is a Par 72 challenging course over 43 hectares of rugged savannah land framed with mature trees, crossed by the Rempart river.

Included in your stay, unlimited access to the golf course, the cart is not included (unlimited golf applies to those on the golf package only).

The Beach Club

The Pro Shop

Opening hours: seven days a week from 6.00am to 6.00pm

The Pro Shop at the Clubhouse caters for a wide range of golf associated products including leading brand golf apparel, clothing and accessories for both men and women. Exclusive brands such as Titleist, Cobra, Scotty Cameron, Callaway, Wilson, White Hot, Footjoy, Greg Norman, Cutter and Buck, Fairway and Greene, Puma and Sunderland are available to purchase.

 

The Spa

 Open everyday from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm

Located next to the reception, the spa has a dedicated area with 4 massage rooms each with its own patio and 2 double rooms from which one has a Japanese bath on the patio. The spa, which has been designed to harmonise with the  natural surroundings of the property, will use a unique range of products specially created for the hotel using the local produce of Mauritius to revitalise the mind, body and soul.
